Common Dental Emergencies

Below are some of the most common dental emergencies we treat:

Toothache or Persistent Dental Pain – Ongoing or severe tooth pain may indicate decay, infection, or an abscess that requires immediate attention.

Chipped or Broken Tooth –  Teeth can fracture due to trauma, biting hard objects, or weakened enamel. Prompt care can help restore the tooth and prevent further damage.

Knocked-Out (Avulsed) Tooth – A tooth that has been completely knocked out requires urgent care. If treated quickly, it may be possible to save and reattach the tooth.

Loose or Dislodged Tooth – Adult teeth should never feel loose. This may be the result of injury or underlying periodontal issues and should be evaluated immediately.

Lost or Damaged Crown or Filling – When a restoration falls out or breaks, the affected tooth becomes vulnerable to sensitivity and further decay.

Dental Abscess or Swelling – An abscess is a serious infection that can cause swelling, pain, and even systemic health issues if left untreated.

Bleeding or Injured Gums –  Uncontrolled bleeding or trauma to the soft tissues of the mouth should be addressed as soon as possible.

Jaw Pain or Injury – Pain, swelling, or difficulty opening and closing your mouth may indicate a jaw injury or joint issue that needs evaluation.
